Documentation for mission: Peak of the Mountain Creator: Jonathan Chen (MastrMind3@aol.com) Creation Date: 7-96 Player: GDI Map: Large (60x60), Winter Theater Requires: Command & Conquer, Covert Operations Tested On: 486DX2/66 Patch v1.19 Difficulty: Moderate Filename: PEAKMNTN.ZIP File Contents: SCG54EA.INI, SCG54EA.BIN, PEAKMNTN.TXT Installation: Unzip PEAKMNTN.ZIP then copy the INI and BIN file to your C&C directory, and just start up the game, and if you have Covert Operations, the mission should appear in the NEW MISSIONS menu. Alternatively, you can replace files using MIXMAN which is described at several places if you do not have Covert Operations. Note: A savegame was not included to save Upload/Download time and because that would cause you to miss out on the opening cutscenes. Mission Description: Among these mountains Nod is establishing a beach head. They haven't yet sent an MCV, but a new vehicle, a Mobile HQ, to direct their forces. If we can destroy this communications vehicle, all Nod units in the area will be in mayhem once their communications have been lost. A-10s are already en route to eliminate it, but first we need you to guide a team to destroy all SAM sites in the area. Level Description: This is basically just a standard GDI commando mission, walk around sniping infantry and blowing SAM sites. However, Nod also has several other vehicles on the map including Flame Tanks, so you'll get a few other units to help you out too. I also admit that I pretty much just made this mission as an excuse to use the cutscene ending where A-10s blow up a Mobile HQ. Known Bugs: None. Thanks to: Andrew Griffin and Vladan Blato for the software they both created and for being nice enough to answer the editing questions I posted. Han Brunger for a useful INI editing manual. Jeroen Ritmeijer and Richard Heesbeen for the really cool CCMAP. Finally: If you like this mission, or you hate it, please send me a comment at MastrMind3@aol.com. In particular, please send anything which may help me create future missions. Thanks.
